Cervical screening awareness week

Our newest essential is finally here (and it’s not what you might think). Just like our sex toys, it’s made with your needs in mind. For this essential size really does matter, so you’ll be pleased to know it’s no bigger than our Rampant Rabbits. A smooth shaft with an adjustable tip, say hello to the speculum. It allows a nurse to easily see the cervix and take a sample during cervical screening. Ready to get a little more up close and personal with it?

Why we put the spotlight on speculums

Every year, the speculum helps the NHS save as many as 5,000 lives from cervical cancer. But not everybody is attending their screening regularly.

If they did, 83% of deaths could be prevented. Which is why we think it deserves to take the spotlight from your other favourite toys.

Book a cervical screening and encourage your friends to do the same and let’s all remove the fear from the smear.

Dr Frankie remove fear from the smear

Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust

Ann Summers are proudly supporting Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust to raise awareness of importance of attending a smear test appointment. Worrying new research has found that only 1 in 5 women working full-time were able to get a convenient cervical screening appointment last time they tried to book. Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust, the UK’s leading cervical cancer charity, cautions that inability to get appointments around work is causing many to delay potentially lifesaving screening. Ann Summers has signed up to the Time to Test campaign to raise awareness of this issue, and to support its team to attend their appointments.
